Naming Ceremonies

Naming ceremonies are an official welcome of a baby or child into a family. I will work with you to create a ceremony that symbolises your love and aspirations for your child and what this young person has brought to your family and community.

At your wishes I will include god parents and/or mentors who may take a lifelong role in assisting to nurture and support the development of your child. Often Naming Ceremonies are accompanied by tree plantings, the lighting of candles and the presentation of certificates to significant family members or mentors.

Other ceremonies

At this stage other ceremonies can be conducted by arrangement. These include:

• funerals
• rites of passage
• the celebration of important events
